My Individual Reflection

This is my reflection on the CAS project and it will answer the two required questions for the project.

Firstly I believe I have contributed a significant amount of my effort and knowledge of the subject towards the group's completion of the project. Entering data into the ACCPAC system is very tedious and I have translated many of the source documents into entries for the system. Also at many instances my groupmates become unsure of what to do, during which I will try and help the the best of my ability. I also have attended almost all of the group meetings as I am serious about the project. In all I have spent many hours slogging at the computer to do my part for the group.

I have also benefited much over the course of completing the project. During tutorials I found it difficult to appreciate the purposefulness of using ACCPAC as each module were taught one after another and often I failed to see how a change in one module would affect another or require changes in other modules. But having the need to complete the project allowed me to better understand how ACCPAC works, as I saw how to enter information from source documents into the accounting system. It also required me to ensure each entry is done right and thus I have learnt how one module affects another.

In all I realized that the project on its own is essential to learning how ACCPAC works as it requires much application as opposed to closely following instructions from the ACCPAC manual during tutorials. I have also learnt to appreciate the close teamwork between me and my group as each individual's participation and effort is crucial towards the completion of the project.

My first blog

Hello my name is Wee Lun and this my first blog entry in my individual CAS blog. My blog will be rather plain because i'm new to blogging.

Today is Wednesday 15th July, I have stayed back after a tiring schoolday to complete as much of the project as possible. The project is pretty much complete except for all the printing, blogging and stuff. My group came to meet at noon as well but the two only labs with ACCPAC were completely packed and noisy so we could not do much then.

The project is due on friday and we really have to rush to complete this project. I will post my individual reflection after this.
